"What a day!! Andy was amazing. Everything he taught was totally applicable to both of us and I only just started riding. He’s a super great teacher and is incredible on a sled!! "

Our Location

Weir Boondocking is located in the Southeast corner of the British Columbia Rocky Mountains. We are based out of Fernie, BC, approximately 3 hours Southwest of Calgary on Highway 3. Fernie has an average snowfall of 875cm, allowing us to teach in deep snow all season long.

The Best time to ride

Our riding season starts with some road rides as early as November, and nearly every year we ride right through to July. The heart of our season is from early December until mid-May. The riding that surrounds us is diverse and has something to offer for everyone. With lots of technical tree riding and some fine alpine bowls you are sure to find something to challenge your ability.

Industrial Training

Snowmobile programs recognized by Worksafe BC. Taught by our certified instructors, these courses are designed to give you the skills to operate your snowmobile safely and effectively in the field.

"I can't say enough good things about Weir Boondocking! We are all very happy with the services weir boondocking provided, not to mention their lunches are amazing! Steak sandwiches on the mountain?? YUM! Thanks again Andy and Shantelle!"
