The Lodge

Elk View Lodge is the perfect mountain venue for a host of activity based vacations and retreats.

Living Areas

Elk View Lodge has over 6,000 sq ft of non-bedroom space including the following features:

Lounge

A large room with outstanding views of the Elk Valley and ski resort, ample seating including 3 leather sofas situated around an impressive stone fireplace. Here you will be able to relax Rocky Mountain style.

Games / Meeting Room

This newly converted room provides 600 sq ft of flexible function space suitable for games or as a meeting/presentation room.

Entrance Hall

The Lodge`s entrance hall features a cathedral ceiling with a large welcoming reception area leading to an impressive curved staircase.

Upper Nook

The upper nook provides a secluded area with comfortable seating in which to retreat or functions as a small breakout room.

Upper Landing

The upper landing is a 550 sq ft open area under the cathedral ceilings and has wonderful views of the Lizard Range. This area is perfect for wedding ceremonies with sufficient space for 90 seated guests plus a central aisle for the bridal party to make their entrance. For family vacations the upper landing is a wonderful location to relax, and for our quilting and scrapbooking retreats it is a popular work area.

Lodge Sauna And Hot Tub

The sauna is located on the lower level, next to a four piece bathroom and our hot-tub is located on the rooftop deck with spectacular mountain views.

Dining

Elk View Lodge has over 6,000 sq ft of non-bedroom space The adjoining dining and living room space is 1,200 sq ft and capable of seating up to 120 guests at round and rectangular tables

Room

In the central hallway we have huge windows with wonderful views of the mountains. For our wedding events and corporate retreats this area can seat 120 guests seated at round tables and 2 rectangular tables.

Kitchen

Guests have access to our well-equipped commercial kitchen, should they choose the self-catered option.

BBQ

The main floor deck has a large BBQ for guest use.

Games Room

The games room has an extra fridge for guest use that is perfect for beverage and ice storage

There are 8 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. There is one each Male and Female public bathroom on the ground floor.

Cedar Room – 2 Queens, adjoining 4-piece bathroom (Wheelchair accessible)

4 BEDROOMS ON THE 1ST FLOOR

Elk View Room – 3 Queens, large 5-piece en-suite bathroom, two private balconies. Alpine View Room – 1 King, 4-piece en-suite bathroom, private balcony. Pine Room – 2 Queens and 1 Twin in loft, 4 piece en-suite bathroom. Spruce Room – 3 Queens, 4-piece en-suite bathroom.

3 BEDROOMS ON THE LOWER LEVEL:

Bedroom 1 – 1 Queen, 1 Double, 1 Bunk Bed with Double below and Single above, 3-piece en-suite bathroom. Bedroom 2 – 2 Queen Beds, 4-piece adjacent bathroom. Bedroom 3 – 1 King Bed, 4-piece adjacent bathroom.​

Outside Spaces

Main Floor Deck

The main floor deck wraps around the Lodge on three sides from the main entrance, down the south side and across the front. It has over 1,500 sq ft of space with ample area for dining, socialising and enjoying the spectacular views.

Rooftop Deck

The rooftop deck has over 400 sq ft of space. It has 270 degree views of the surrounding mountains from Mt Broadwood to the south round to Mount Proctor and the Three Sisters to the north.

Lawn Area

The recently created lawn space provides over 1,500 sq ft of area suitable for outdoor dining, games or ceremonies.

Car Parking

The Lodge has a large parking area on the East side that can accommodate up to 25 cars (when parked sensibly). The 200 metre driveway is easily negotiated in the winter by winter tire equipped 4WD vehicles, and there is a small parking area at the entry to the Lodge for vehicles unable to negotiate the driveway. Snowmobile guests have towed and parked trailers with 8 sleds on previous trips.
